Birth date and place:

June 1, 1950, the town Craiova, Romania

Studies:

- Faculty for International Economic Relations of the Academy for Economic Studies, Bucharest

- Institute of International Relations, Leeds (Great Britain)

- Training course in Paris, at the Secretariat of UNESCO                    

Profesional Carreer :

- Between 1973-1990: work within the Departments for International Relations of the Students Union in Romania and the Youth Tourism Office and within the Department for Prognosis and Marketing of the Ministry of Culture;

- In 1990: entered the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, being gradually promoted to the ranks of Second Secretary, First Secretary, Counselor, Minister Counselor and Ambassador;

- Between 1993-1995: Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and between 1994-1995, Director of the Minister’s Office;

- Between 1995-1999: Ambassador of Romania to the Italian Republic, to the Republic of Malta, at the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, as well as Permanent Representative of Romania to the World Food Program, Food and Agriculture Organization, International Fund for Agricultural Development;

- Between 1999-2003: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Bulgaria;

- Between 2004-2008: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Turkey;

- Between 2008-2013: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Russian Federation;

- Between 2013-2016:   Ambassador, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Romania;

- October 2016:  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of  Romania to the Republic of  Croatia.
